Introducing our new chef and menu for 2020

1st December 2019

Kennedy’s has always been part restaurant, part hangout. A place where brunch bleeds into afternoon drinks, into dinner and then a dance or two.

Making sure our food continues to take equal billing in the line-up is our new head chef, Olly Bell. On the back of recent endeavours at 119 The Mount and The Grange, as well as culinary tours near and far, Olly’s taken the reins in the Kennedy’s kitchen and inspired a new menu for 2020.

We’ve done the taste test and you’re in for a treat! New breakthrough acts include Confit du Canard, served with Hispi cabbage, heritage carrots and green goddess dressing (pictured below) and marinated steak skewer with a truffle hollandaise, brioche and chive crumb.

If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, you can also look forward to lighter options such as Pork Ramen and for sweet tooth there’s Winter fruits pavlova with lime curd.

In Olly’s own words: “We’ve developed a diverse new menu and worked extremely hard to source the best fresh ingredients on offer from local independent suppliers. Kennedy’s has always had a great reputation for its food. Now we’re releasing a few bold new dishes that fully reward our adventurous diners.”

All of our great offers will still feature in 2020 so you can pick up one of Olly’s creations at a price that suits you.

Washed down with our new wine list

After numerous travels and tastings, we’ve a whole world of wines ripe for exploring. Even better news is that you can sample them at the bar as of today!

Now you won’t find any of our new additions in your local supermarket. We’re proud to source our own wines and consider it one of the main perks of the job.

All our latest discoveries are a little bit different, unusual, or just an off-the-scale example of a popular style. There’s Tetute Piccini ‘Antica’ Chianti Reserva, made with grapes from the centre of Tuscany to produce a well structured smooth wine with wonderful soft tannins. Another new addition is a big juicy red from Spain, a MMM Macho Man Monastrel Jumilla, Casa Rojo. Spending Four months in oak barrels provides a touch of softness and spice that we’re sure you’ll love. The 2013 vintage was named in the top 100 wines in the Wines from Spain Awards 2015 so it’s a real honour to be able to share it with you.

All available to enjoy without breaking the bank. We’ll see you at the bar!
